The Zelenikovski Monastery, in Google maps called Monastery Saint John the Forerunner, is located 15 kilometers from Troyan. Nowadays it is not that hard to reach as roads are about one hour walking from the location. The monastery is in the heart of the mountains and it was build in 1832, later on destroyed by the Turks and in 1913 it was rebuild.
